The Honeywell T6 thermostat allows you to enable security lock settings requiring users to enter a four-digit password to make changes. These settings on your Honeywell Thermostat can be used to prevent unauthorized changes to system settings.
Enabling Lock Security on Honeywell Thermostats
- Tap the Menu button on your Honeywell thermostat until you reach Screen Lock
- Tap Select
- Choose the Lock Option you wish to use:
- Select Unlocked if you want to allow unrestricted access to thermostat settings
- Select Partial Locked if you want to enable other users to change only the temperature
- Select Fully Locked if you want to restrict access to thermostat settings completely
- The screen will display the PIN code that will be used to unlock the thermostat moving forward
- Tap Select
- Tap Yes to confirm the lock settings
Disableing Lock Security on Honeywell Thermostats
- Press the Menu button
- Use the right arrow to navigate to the "LOCK" menu
- Select "OFF" to disable PIN protection
Default Unlock Code - Honeywell Thermostat
- Pull the thermostat off the wall, and find the 4 digit date code on the back of the thermostat
- Add 1234 to the date code, so for example 6014 + 1234, master code would be 7248
- Use this default if the master code programmed was forgotten
